Information Comunication Technology in English Language Teaching (Meet 2)

     ICT in ELT is the learning activities which is using technology to still following era development. For example: teachers using technology like computer, internet, and etc. Also using telecommunications media, such as: radio, TV, smartphone to create, communicate, and manage information in English language teaching and learning.

A. Some ICT in ELT

    1. CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning)

        To help language learners with computer

    2. MALL (Mobile Assisted Language Learning)

        Learning activities by using mobile phone

    3. RALL (Robot Assisted Language Learning)

        Serves as dictionary with robot (But it's using is Elementary School Taiwan, and Indonesia not yet)

    4. TELL (Technology Enchanced Language Learning)

    5. Blended Learning (Combination of face to face and Online Learning)

        It's used in Indonesia when COVID-19 getting better

    6. Flipped Learning 

        Students given material by their teacher and will be discussed in offline class

    7. LMS (Learning Management System, Online Classroom Learning Platforms)

        Using application to doing the learning activities. Such as: Google Classroom, Moodle, Schoology, Edmodo, Canvas.Instructure

    8. TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge)

        It's the part of operation

    9. SAMR (Substitution Augmentation Modification Redefinition)
